To help people understand how they sleep — not just how much — and find the bedding & environment that matches their natural rhythm.

Sleep science has matured rapidly in the past 20 years, but most consumer-facing tools still treat sleep as a single variable ("get 8 hours"). We believe the next leap comes from recognizing that there are distinct sleep personality types — each with their own ideal environment, ritual, and bedding choice.

02 METHODOLOGYHow We Built the 16 Types

Our 16-type taxonomy is built on 4 axes grounded in peer-reviewed sleep research:

  • Q vs R (Quick vs Reflective) — Sleep onset latency, the time from lights-off to N1 sleep stage
  • M vs N (Morning vs Night) — Chronotype based on Horne-Östberg Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire (MEQ)
  • S vs W (Silent vs Warm) — Environmental sensitivity to temperature and ambient noise
  • F vs C (Face-up vs Curled) — Preferred sleep posture, which affects pillow & mattress choice

Each of the 24 questions in our quiz weighs 1 or 2 points toward one of these 4 dimensions, yielding a 13-step precision score on each axis. The 24 = 16 unique combinations form our type system.
